CONNIE'S
BALANCE SHEET
Q: Your responsibilities
involve staffing assignments and scheduling: what kind of
overview does that provide of the firm’s unique capabilities?
What perspectives do you try to bring to each project?
A: It allows me to quickly
recognize new strengths developed in team members so that
the best team can be assigned to a client's specific needs.
Q: What is involved with
quality control beyond checking the figures input and factored?
A: We gain a closer understanding
of our clients as we do our QA/QC. It helps us bring a fresh
perspective to each project and allow for better planning
on newer projects.
Q: What community affairs
and civic association activities have you been involved with?
A: I'm a member of the
Finance Committee of the Immaculate Conception Church. I
also serve as Treasurer of Valley Associates. I'm also a
member of the ABC Crab Feast Committee.
Q: What are some of the
unique aspects of not-for-profits?
A: Too often their staff
is spread too thin and they just need to be shown how to
work with all of the constraints. Every NFP has its own
specific mission and unique circumstances to be addressed;
there's no catch-all answer.
Q: What are key personal
issues to family business consulting?
A: The business needs
to be able to trust us with not just their finances but
with the future of their family. Once they can, they'll
be willing to listen and be impartial during discussion.
They will also be confident in their decisions.
