Once again the staff of Master, Sidlow & Associates came through and really showed what they were made of by finishing the year with a fantastic United Way campaign.

The firm raised $9,500 to help the many in need in our community. Contributions were made to the Community Action Fund, which the United Way directs, and to numerous nonprofit organizations specifically chosen by our employees because they are near and dear to their hearts.

Because every accounting firm needs a little fun in their day, we held several events to encourage our FUNdraising endeavor.   We wore jeans, had a Guitar Hero competition and sold lots of yummy treats at a bake sale.

The event of which we are most proud is the canned food drive. Teams of co-workers competed to see which could donate the most pounds of non-perishable food items to be donated to the Food Bank of Delaware.  As a group we contributed a total of 976 pounds. A big shout out to the Administrative Department team who led the charge with a whopping 335 pounds!

Overall it was an amazingly successful campaign.  We are pleased to be able to help those in our community whose needs are so great during these difficult economic times, and we are always up for having a bit of fun doing it.

Thanks to all our staff!  Well done!
